Every day on board begins with responsibility. Before we leave the dock or lift anchor, my first priority is always safety. I make sure guests are familiar with the yacht, understand the safety procedures, and feel comfortable and confident from the moment they step on board. I’m constantly monitoring weather conditions, sea state, and the vessel itself, making decisions that keep everyone safe while allowing them to relax and enjoy their time at sea.
Once we’re underway, the experience really begins. I plan each itinerary carefully, tailoring it to the guests on board. That might mean finding a quiet anchorage with crystal-clear water, a reef that’s perfect for snorkeling, or a scenic route that shows off the best of the coastline. I enjoy
Docking and mooring are moments that require focus and precision. Wind, current, tide, and space all matter, and I take pride in making arrivals and departures as smooth and calm as possible. It’s one of those parts of the job that often goes unnoticed when done well, but it’s essential to the comfort of everyone on board.
Throughout the day, I’m also keeping the yacht running properly behind the scenes. Engines, air conditioning, electrical systems, and all the details that make life on board comfortable need constant attention. Preventative maintenance is part of the routine—it’s how I ensure the yacht is not only luxurious, but reliable.
As the day winds down, I focus on setting us up for a peaceful evening, whether that’s anchoring in a quiet bay or securing the yacht for the night in a marina. There’s something special about watching the sun set from the deck, knowing everything is in place and the guests can fully unwind.
